Dear Family & Friends-
Just wanted to fill you in on the great news we received yesterday & thank you for all the prayers that have brought us to this point.
Tuesday morning (10/21) we received the long awaited invitation to travel to the Ukraine to meet our son. We have an appointment at the Ukrainian Adoption Office at 9am on Thanksgiving Day (November 27th). We will probably be flying out on Tuesday, Nov 25th- five weeks from yesterday.
We began this adoption process & paperwork on Easter weekend of 2007, so it seems like it's been a VERY long 18 months and a major test of patience! It will be a very different holiday season, as we will remain in the Ukraine for the entire process. We probably will not finish everything & return to the USA until the first week of January 2009- That will make it a "Happy New Year"!
Thank you again for your prayers to this point. We are confident that God's guidance, and your support, has brought us to this point in our journey. Barb & I humbly ask for your prayers in the coming weeks as we have a lot of planning, and activities, that need to fall into place before we return to Raymond, IL with our son.
